Hi guys, a suggestion for all the endurance runners in the U.S.
    Do you know Marco Olmo?
he’s something like a legend in italy.
At 58 and 59 years old, he has won two edition of the Ultra trail du Mont Blanc, 165 km (something more than 100 miles) and about 22 hours to run, defeating champions like Dean Karnazes or Scott Jurek.
Now someone in italy is making a film about him

    Hi Guys,

Sorry for the lack of contact i have struggled with depression, something i have battled all my life.

A a result of this i have agreed and want to do a run for mental health, i can hear the chuckles, sorry thats the black Dog.

As you know i undertook a walk from Nottingham UK to lands end. Then across Then across the USA by highway 50. Then Canberra to Brisbane Australia.

Well all going well starting July the 1st 2010 i will set off to run from the top of New Zealand to the southerly tip, then fly to the states and follow highway 50 west to east. The next leg will see me do Lands end to John a Groats with the last leg from Sydney to Port Douglas.

This to help suffers of mental health i have a adopted som Mathew who has cerebal Palsey and is Bi Polar, Plus my step daughter hasa drug problem relatedi believe to unresolved grief leading to Depression.

So guys any help or advise is welcome since we last spoke i have progressed from a 2km jog to a 10 km semi run blocks of houses the rest crossing the road at the junction.

  9. New ultra to put on your calendars: St. Croix Scenic 50 in the US Virgin Islands
    50 MILE ULTRA
What better way to see this gem of the Caribbean than to run over a good portion of its rugged mountains and along its stunning shoreline? The course promises to be as challenging as it is beautiful. Historic sugar mills and two centuries old forts lie along this spectacular course. On clear days you can see 40 miles north to St. Thomas, St. John and the BVI’s. The St. Croix Ironman 70.3 has earned a reputation because of the Beast, and this course runs the whole spine of the Beast. It’s hot, even in January, so be prepared if you want to take on the St. Croix Scenic 50. Go to the race page at http://www.stcroix50.com – Hope to see you there!
