Laurel Valley Ultra/Big Butt 50 K

I have posted applications for the Laurel Valley Ultra Run and the Big
Butt 50K at www.claudesinclair.com

Laurel Valley is limited to 50 runners and 10 sweeps. All first time
runners for this race has to run sweep. Once people run sweep for one
year they are welcomed back the next year to race. The reason sweeps are
needed is because once you start there’s no place to quit on this secluded
single track trail run. You will cross 4 white water rivers. All have
foot bridges including a 225′ suspension bridge over one of the rivers.
You will see breath taking waterfalls. You will cross numerous brooks in
a canopy of Hemlock and Poplar trees. The limit is reached early each
year. The awards are nothing special and the t-shirts are not dated and
only marked with finisher. They are bland but serve as a reminder of one
of the most beautiful and one of the most difficult trail runs that you
will encounter. Only accomplished ultra runners need to apply. This is
not for first time ultra runners. Don’t be deceived by the 100% finishing
rate. The reason for 100% finishing rate is because there’s no place to
quit and we have great runners running sweep that will get you to the
finish line.
