Peterson Ridge Rumble status

Peterson Ridge Rumble status

At about 85 current entrants, the Peterson Ridge Rumble still has quite a
ways to go until it reaches its 250 runner limit. However, this is by far
the most entrants the Rumble has ever had at this point. The run is in 6
weeks, so if you’re thinking about it, it’s probably best to decide before
too long. Historically, the central Oregon locals wait a bit longer to sign
up for it than runners from around the region. Next weekend, FootZone Bend
is having it’s big annual running shoe sale, so I’m definitely expecting to
get a lot of the locals to start signing up then.

As far as course conditions, Sascha and I ran the 30k course last Wednesday.
There was about 1-3″ of snow on the entire course, and it was in great
condition. I’m planning on running the 60ker’s loop next weekend to check
out course conditions there. With temps this weekend in central Oregon in
the high-50s to mid-60s, and 50s this week, I’m expecting most of the snow
on the course to be melting fast. That should definitely leave a little mud
for everyone. However, if you ran Hagg, you’ll be wondering, “Mud, what
mud?”

I’m also still looking for volunteers. If you can’t run and want to help, or
have a friend who wants to help while you’re running, please let me know.
