The 7th annual Promise Land 50K will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007
in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Bedford, VA. The field is limited to
300 runners. We still have a lot of slots availabl for runners. The course
has an elevation gain of over 7,400 ft and a 10 hour time limit.
Men who finish under 10 hours will receive Patagonia Ultra Shorts (number
24591). Women who finish under 10 hours will receive Patagonia Nine Trails
Shorts (number 57610). The overall male and female winner will receive a
Patagonia Water Shed Suitcase (number 48530). The 2-10 males and
2-5 females and age group winners will also receive a Patagonia Half Mass
Bag (number 48271). There will also be special awards to the Fastest
Fat Boy and Best Blood award. We will be having a pre-race pizza feed
on Friday night and there will be a post-race cookout for all runners an
d crews on Saturday. Free camping is available at the start-finish area
. Come and join us at the East’s most beautiful 50K.
