Burning River 100 – Early Entry Deadline on Saturday (June 30)
Hello all,
The early entry for the 1st Annual Burning River 100 is Saturday night at midnight (Eastern) at which time the entry will go up from $150 (US) to $190 (US). (117 entries so far)
The point-to-point race is being held on August 4-5 and starts in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, an eastern suburb of Cleveland. The race travels through the Cleveland Metroparks, Cuyahoga Valley National Park and MetroParks, serving Summit County before finishing in the town square of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Cuyahoga Falls is also the location of Blossom Music Center, summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra as well as many pop and rock concerts and is a suburb of Akron. The race is on the same weekend as the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction weekend in nearby Canton as well as the Bridgestone Invitational Golf Tournament at Firestone CC in Akron.
More information about the race (including a runner’s packet and a link to online registration) is available at http://www.burningriver100.org .
(Section maps and a complete course map, all with elevation profiles will be added later this weekend.)
The race can also use some additional volunteers (mostly for aid stations, supply logistics, race communications and course marking ). Your work can not only help the race, but can serve as volunteer hours to fulfill requirements for other race entries.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.
