Mansfield to Buller 27 January
This classic 50 km race, now in its 16th year will be held on Sunday 27 January. The early race favourites are current 100km champs Tim Cochrane and Deanne Nobbs. If you haven’t entered already, it’s not too late. For an entry form or online entry, click here

Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair 2 February
This popular event has been in existence since 1981. The race has almost filled, with just a couple of spots remaining. The race director is Alec Hove on 03 6223 4456 but you will need to move quickly to ensure a spot.

Maroondah Dam 50km 17 February
Robert Boyce, the race director needs to know final numbers ASAP to arrange buses. Entries close on 14 February and there will be no entries on the day. For more info see Aura Dam Trail Run

The North Face treadmill race 6-7 March
This is a match race between Martin Fryer, king of the track and David Waugh, king of the mountains with current Australian 100 km champ Deanne Nobbs to keep them honest. The race will be held in the window of The North Face store at 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne, starting at 0700 on Thursday 6 March, finishing at 0700 on Friday 7th. The event will mark the opening of the new North Face Melbourne City store.

Colac 6 day – 2 to 9 November 2008.
The Colac Six Day Race is back and will celebrate its 21st Birthday this year. The event has been revamped with new date, venue and daily activities. The main activity will be on Melbourne Cup Day (Tuesday) when half the town’s population of 11,000 people are expected to converge on the stadium which wil have a 40ft screen, private marquees and bands. A large contingent of athletes from home and overseas has expressed interest in the event and with prizemoney on offer, the 50 available spots are certain to fill quickly. Entry forms will be available on the new race website from Australia Day. Don’t delay.

Coburg 24hr 19 April 2008
Entries are limited to 45 and are filling fast. The 24 hour is a qualifier for Colac and for Australian team selection to contest the world challenge in October. Entries are also filling fast for the Coburg 6 hour to be held on 30 March 2008. More info see Coburg.

Gold Coast 24-48 normally August
This race is expected to continue at a new venue with a new race organiser, most likely around the same date. More info will be made known as soon as it becomes available.
