Starting at the tender age of 45, and finishing at 46, one very determined grandmother – Marvellous Mimi – has become the fastest woman to run the entire length of the country from Scotland to England in a time of 12 days, 15 hours, a few minutes and is the NEW WOMEN’S WORLD RECORD HOLDER (* subject to official confirmation)
This would not have been possible without the guys and gals that have been with her for the past 12 days. Karyn, Alan, Phil, Tim (WHMBO) and the marvellous Becky who have all worked relentlessly to help Mimi succeed.
The excitement in the final countdown today has been incredible and just demonstrates how unbelievably tough this challenge has been for all that have completed it. Sharon Gayter, the current world record holder, crossed the finishing line in 12 days, 16 hours, 22 minutes and 03 seconds on September 15th 2006.
