We are happy to inform you that all the Major IAU Competitions for 2009 have been allocated.
At an earlier stage we could already announce that the city of Torhout (Belgium) will be the venue for the 100 km World Cup and 100 km European Championship on June 19th.
For the 24H event the choice fell on Ciserano – Bergamo (Italy) to host the 24H World Challenge and the 24H European Championship on May 2nd-3rd and finally has Serre Chevalier (France) been chosen to stage the Trail World Challenge on July 12th.
For each competition we can rely on the expertise of existing organisations, more precisely the “Night of Flanders 100 km” in Torhout (Belgium), the “24H del delfino” In Ciserano – Bergamo (Italy) and the “Merryl Sky Race” in Serre Chevalier (France).
All three are experienced race organisations with a long lasting history and an international reputation. It looks as if the organisation of our most important competitions for 2009 is in good hands and we are confident that we can look forward to 3 exiting events
