An amazing display of sportsmanship and camaraderie will be the image that sticks to mind after this third edition of The North Face 100. The infamous 10 hour record was broken by an amazing pair of athletes with 2009 winner Andrew Lee and The North Face 100 first timer Stu Gibson crossing the line hand in hand in 9 hours 54 minutes and 19 seconds after battling it out for most of the 100km of the race. Beth Cardelli was first female in 12:16:15 ahead of last year’s winner Julie Quinn in 12:24:52 with Craig Cook brought in the rear in just over 27 hours on Sunday 16 May 2010. The 464 finishers (out of 649 entrants) all enjoyed near perfect weather conditions (albeit chilly ones being set in the Blue Mountains and going overnight!) and many are vowing to return for a Personal Best in 2011!
