Hardrock 100 – 2008

Posted on January 2, 2008 by

Hi Everybody,
We hope you are having a great holiday season!
I have been really excited about the number of inquiries I have answered regarding the 2008 run. Obviously, what is at the forefront of people’s questions is the application process and lottery.

Here is the way we will determine the entry field for 2008. We will begin accepting applications for 2008 beginning January 1st. Please mail the application and proof of qualifying (for new entrants) to PO 55, Silverton, CO 81433. Be sure to include your entry fee and shirt size!

We will collect the applications and put a list of the ones we have received on our home page. Please be patient with this list. I live 50 mountainous miles from Silverton and usually get applications delivered to me twice a week. I put them on the list the same day I get them but sometimes there may be a 3-5 day lag from when we receive an application to when it goets posted on our home page. ANYBODY WHO WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THEIR NAME IN THE JAR FOR ENTRY HAS UNTIL FEB 1ST TO GET US AN APPLICATION. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OVERNIGHTING AN APPLICATION IF YOU MAIL IT IN MID JANUARY. Entries received on Jan 21st are given the same consideration as those received on Jan. 2. The only exception to this are for those applications mailed later than Jan. 25th. Those who procrastinate that long should probably pay to make sure we receive an application.

Ther lottery will be  held on Sunday Feb 3rd with the results being posted on our hhome page that day.
I hope this helps answer any questions you may have. If not, please be sure to let me know.

Run Director, Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run

PS  If you would like to have a piece of art (original painting, drawing or photograph) considered as the 2008 finishers print, please be sure that we have a copy of that piece by Feb 3rd. We will select the finishers print the same day we sdelect the entry field.

I further note that Grand Teton 100 and Tahoe Rim 100 are both Hardrock qualifiers, although they were inadvertently left off the list of qualifying runs on the application form.  The entry application can be found at
