A new 100km road race will take place in Galway, Ireland on 28 March, 2009. The race website for the new 'Celtic 100k' is www.celtic100k.com. The first edition of the event will host the annual Anglo Celtic Plate competition between England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. However, race organisers will also welcome guest international teams from other nations. Individuals are also invited to take part on a flat, fast course overlooking the famous Galway Bay on the west coast of Ireland.
